Ruby LaNell White

LaNell went home to heaven and was reunited with her beloved, Lawson, on January 23, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on December 23, 1940, in Bowie County, Texas to Reginald Claxton Brock and Ruby Karon Taylor Brock.

LaNell graduated from Canton High School in 1959. Later that year she married Lawson White, her one true love. They raised two children Deborah Kay and Randy Wayne. LaNell loved being a stay-at-home wife and mother. Once Deborah and Randy were in high school, LaNell went to work full time in the legal field, working for an attorney and in the Hunt County District Clerk’s Office. After retirement, she and Lawson enjoyed traveling, seeing the beautiful sites of the United States and buying antiques along the way.

LaNell was an active member of the Russell Memorial Methodist Church in Wills Point. Over the years she has enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow into wonderful adults. She was very proud of becoming a Great Grandmother to Ruby and Turner! LaNell considered herself blessed with a wonderful family.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Crestwood Assisted Living and a very special thank you to Taisha and Tammy.

LaNell is preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Karon Brock; beloved husband, Lawson White; brother, Dwayne Brock.

She is remembered by her loving family: daughter, Debbie and Bobby Deen; son, Randy and Rhonda White; grandchildren: Taylor and Garrett Buck, Zach Deen, Tyler and Lauren White; great-grandchildren, Ruby Buck and Turner Buck; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paula and Reggie Storey; sister-in-law, Peggy Brock; a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate in honor of Ms. LaNell to the Russell Memorial Methodist Church in Wills Point, Texas or to the Wills Point ISD Education Foundation.
