Sam graduated Godley High School and then attended two years at North Texas State University in Denton. He served in the Marines from July 1961 to July 1964. The photo above was taken at the United States Marine Corp. Camp Pendleton, California in 1961.
Sam lived and worked in California from 1964 to 1980 and then moved to Texas. He enjoyed his home and working around it. He also enjoyed working at his courier job in Tyler.
