Sarita Pool

A graveside memorial for Sarita Pool, 83, of Canton, will be held 1 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton with David Mills officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pool passed away February 9, 2026 in Grand Saline. She was born June 8, 1942 in Newellton, Louisiana to Perry D. and Una Lee Roy Luneau.

Sarita married Dan Norman Pool Sr. on November 21, 1958. She owned and operated Beks Florist in Dallas. Sarita and Dan moved to Canton in 1996 where she became a devoted and active member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Sarita enjoyed crafting, cooking, canning, hunting for treasures at garage sales, traveling—especially to the mountains—and spending time with her family. Most of all, she loved making sure nobody left her home hungry. She loved her family and caring for them so much so that she kept her three oldest great-grandchildren from their birth until they started school.

Mrs. Pool is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dan Pool Sr.; her parents, Perry and Una Luneau; sister, Katie Meredith; brother, Larry Williamson; brother-in-law, Wayne Owens; bonus daughter, Joni Welch; and daughter-in-law, Sonya Pool.

Sarita is survived by her daughter, Darita Pool; son, Dan "Rusty" Pool Jr.; grandchildren: Taner(Ana Marie) Lynd and Cheyenne(Koid) Dyess; four great-grandsons: Jonas Lynd, Doak Lynd, Roy Lynd, and Bowen Dyess; three bonus sons: Thomas Welch, Raymond Hernandez and Jerry Hernandez; bonus grandchildren: Britney(Chad) Clark and Cassidy(Klay) White; four bonus great-grandchildren: Presley Clark, Swayze Clark, Brody White and Beckham White; sister, Cassie Owens; and brother, Perry(Susan) Luneau.

Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Miller, Darrell Woods, Mario Vela, Brett Woodard, Mike Martin, Raymond Hernandez Jr. and Michael Hernandez.
