Mrs. Gray passed away on June 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on March 22, 1951 in Athens, TX to Forest and Amy Conner Everitt.
Sharry was a native of East Texas, but as the daughter of a career man in the Air Force, was able to live all over the world. She met her future husband in Germany while her father and Fred's father were stationed in Zweibrucken which was an American military base there. After marrying Fred, they settled in Texas. She never let Fred forget that he was not a true Texan and that he was what she referred to as damn yankee which is a yankee that comes to Texas and stays. Her family was very important to Sharry. She cherished each family member and their memories. She was especially attached to her Grandma and Grandpa Conner. Sharry was a Christian by faith and instilled that faith in her husband and daughters. She made sure her three girls got to know the lord and love him. She was a good cook, made wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for all of her family and her banana pudding was especially a favorite of everyone that ever ate it. Sharry loved to bowl, belonged to many leagues for many years and she loved to play slot machines in the casinos. It was what she described as her fun time. Another thing that she really enjoyed was cruising. She described a cruise as the perfect vacation.
