Steven was known for his hard-working nature and humorous spirit. After traveling the United States working in copper mines, he eventually settled in Pennsylvania. Steve was a member of the Tri-County Worship Center in Pennsylvania.
In his personal life, Steve enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and building furniture. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His heart was always in the Big Horn Mountains, a place he held dear.
Mr. Koop is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Koop and his brother, Ron Koop.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Trudi and Tim Horning; son, Mark and Katrina Koop; five grandchildren: Tyrel Campos, Aric Campos, Justin Koop, Zachary Koop and Dylan Koop; ten great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Athena, Nash, Kenzie, Duncan, Cayden, Cameron, Cole, Kyler and Damian; and a sister, Carol Hanson.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Tri County Worship Center in Bethel, PA. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
