

Funeral services for Sue Parker Overstreet, 75, of Chandler, are scheduled for 11 am Wednesday, May 27th, at the Leagueville Baptist Church in Leagueville, TX with Bro. Tom Bragdon officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the church. Burial will be at the Leagueville Cemetery.
Sue passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at her home in Chandler, TX. She was born on January 23, 1940 to the late Earl and Edna Parker. Sue was preceded in death by her sister, Joye Parker Dansby. She married the late Travis Walker in 1957. They had three precious daughters: Karen, Susan and Denise.
Sue was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a member of the Ladies Gospel Trio at the First Baptist Church in Brownsboro. She was a Bible scholar and led her children and many others to the Lord. She loved to sing and instilled her love of music in her children. She served the church in many ways such as decorating and cooking for church events.
She worked at Montgomery Ward in the gift wrap department and later worked at Carrier for 21 years. She left to join her mother selling real estate.
Sue married Vernon Overstreet on March 6, 1987 and gained three precious step-children: Dale, Wendy and Nichole.
She was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church and a faithful servant who loved the Lord.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Vernon Overstreet; daughters: Karen Walker and husband, Bill Galyeon, Susan Miller and husband, Yancy, Denise Moreland and husband, Dave; step-son, Dale Overstreet and wife, Cris; step-daughters: Wendy McElhaney and husband, Mark, and Summer Nichole Edenfield; grandchildren: Jason Woodward, Sandi and Chase Calloway, Sloane and Margaret Tetrick, Brett Miller, Jackson and Taylor Tetrick, Lainee Overstreet, Brady Stainback, Mekenzie Edenfield, Mekailyn Salas, and Mason Salas; three great-grandchildren; numerous other family, friends and loved ones.
