

Suk Yi Kim, a resident of Grand Saline, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on May 3, 1936, in Seoul, Korea, Suk Yi was a faithful, wise, and generous individual who touched the lives of many.
Suk Yi grew up in Seoul and moved to the United States in 1989. It was in the same year that she was baptized, marking the beginning of her journey as a devoted servant who loved Jesus. She was an active member of Saenuyz Baptist Church and later joined Hanuri Baptist Church, where her faith continued to flourish.
In 1955, Suk Yi married Jong Sul Kim. Together, they shared 54 beautiful years until his passing in 2009. Their union was a testament to love and commitment, leaving behind a cherished legacy of family.
Suk Yi was known for her love of crocheting and singing. She delighted in having people over and serving big meals, always welcoming others with a smile on her face and warmth in her heart. Her generosity and kindness were evident to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, Texas, on January 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 am. A graveside service will take place later that day at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas, at 2:30 pm.
Suk Yi Kim's legacy of faith, wisdom, and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have known her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Suk Yi Kim is preceded in death by her parents, Joo Sub Choie and Soon Rae Kim; beloved husband, Jong Sul Kim.
She is survived by her children: Hae K. Kim, Joe K. Kim and wife, Jinna, Michelle Kim and husband, Geun, Esther Kang and husband, DoHoon; grandchildren: Ronald S. Kim, Daniel S. Kim. Wei Young Kang, Wei Sung Kang, Jinho Kim; numerous other relatives and friends.
