Sybil Loretta Shaver

Mrs. Shaver passed away December 30, 2021 in Chandler. She was born August 23, 1925 in Henderson County to George Russell and Julia E. Barton Edwards.

Mrs. Shaver was a member of Barton's Chapel Assembly of God Church. She lived in Borger and Altus, OK for many years. Sybil enjoyed sewing and making pastries. She helped her husband, Guy, with his auto shop in Borger. They retired to Edom where she enjoyed fishing in her private lake and hosted fish fries. Sybil enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and even took care of her granddaughter, Lynn, for a couple of years.

Mrs. Shaver was preceded in death by her parents, George and Julia Edwards; husband, Guy B. Shaver; son, Gary Shaver; brother, Malcolm Edwards; and her sister, Nelda Jean Tompkins.

Sybil is survived by her sons: Michael and Jeannette Shaver of Willow Park, and Joe Shaver of Dickens; three grandchildren: Greg and Tiffany Shaver, Damian and Mindy Shaver and Lynn and Lance Logsdon; eight great-grandchildren: Kasey Logsdon, Rowdy Logsdon, Ruby Shaver, Chase Shaver, Lillian Dotson, Anabelle Dotson, Lindsay Goldman and Nathan Goldman; two great-great-grandchildren: Ashton Lynn Barker and Gunner Lynn Barker; two brothers: Marlin Edwards and George Russell "Junior" Edwars, Jr.; and three sisters: Clovis and Bill Tompkins, Wynell Whorton and Evangeline Kidd.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Kidd, David Tompkins, Stephen Tompkins, Greg Shaver, Damian Shaver and Dale Tompkins.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
