She passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, in Tyler, TX.
Teresa was born September 14, 1956, in Dallas, TX to Monroe and Dorothy Nelson.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton.
Teresa grew up in the Pleasant Grove Community and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School. She married Richard Fortner on October 3, 1991, and they lived in Garland for several years before moving to Wills Point in 2000. Teresa had a great love for dogs and would always have a home for one in need. She enjoyed writing letters, traveling and mowing the yard.
She is survived by her Husband, Richard Fortner of Wills Point, Niece, Elizabeth & Greg Lee of Canton, Nephew, Jerry & Vicki Weldon of Canton, and Great Niece, Taylor Grosvenor of Canton.
Teresa is preceded in death by her Parents, Monroe & Dorothy Nelson, Son, Michael Fortner, Sister, Margaret & Jerry Weldon, and Brother In Law, William Fortner.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 13, 2015, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
