Travis passed away on March 23, 2024. He was born on August 20, 1961 in Carthage, Texas to BJ “Dewitt” Dean and Betty Hattaway Dean.
Travis was a devoted husband to Sherlene, his wife in life’s journey for 36 years. Together, they created a home filled with family, love, and cherished memories. They raised two children in Canton and were blessed to have many grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be proud of. Travis enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos with his family and friends. He was a God fearing man and instilled his faith and love for the Lord in his children.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Dean; brother, David Dean; beloved wife, Sherlene Dean; son, Blake Dean; daughter, Brandy Chamness; sister, Wanda Arldt.
Travis is survived by his dad, Dewitt Dean; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Cindy Bearden; son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Maggie Dean; grandchildren: Mallory Phillips and husband, Dillion, Emma Dean, Elliott Dean; great grandchildren, Reese Phillips and Charlie Phillips.
