Virginia Lee Overton Overton Mallory

Burial will be in Haven of Memories in Canton.

Mrs. Mallory passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in Carrollton.

She was born July 29, 1928 in Elmwood, Oklahoma to William Edwin and Georgia Beryl Fronk Overton.

Virginia was a member of the Canton Church of Christ and was very involved in the Van Zandt County Fair Organization. She was a past recipient of the Van Zandt County Woman of the Year. Mrs. Mallory was a 4H Group Leader for 30 years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Jack Mallory, Jr.; brother, Max Overton; mother-in-law, Margaret Mallory; and son-in-law, Joey Scottino.

Mrs. Mallory is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mallory Scottino, of Carrollton; son, David Mallory and his fiancé, Kathy Hann, of El Granada, CA; daughter, Kim Mallory Burns and her husband, Dennis, of Concord, MA; son, Don Overton Mallory and wife, Tammy, of Mabank; 4 grandchildren: Nicholas Scottino, Clay Mallory, Connor Mallory and Wyatt Burns; 2 great-grandchildren: Isabella and Joellie Scottino; brother, Dean Overton of Portales, NM; sister, Jo Ann Kachel of Beaver, OK; and sister-in-law, Mary Overton of Beaver, OK.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
