Virginia grew up in Canton and attended Canton public schools. Throughout her life, she was employed in various capacities, working for Southwestern Bell Telephone as well as in photography and real estate. Virginia married Jack Ward on January 8, 1985. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed cooking, sewing, trail riding, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Arvalene Tull; brother, Kenneth W. Tull; and son, Weldon Edward Phillips.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jack Ward; stepchildren, Mary Ann Ward Killian and her husband David of Mabank, Vickie Ward Pyle and her husband James of Mabank, and Jerry Ward and his wife Annette of Whitton; grandchildren, Rachel Killian of New Summerfield, Justin Killian of Mabank, Mitzi Pyle of Midland, Jennifer Pyle of Hawaii, Kerry Pyle of Mabank, and Steven Chambless of Canton; great-grandchildren, Shy Walker Killian, Rylie Chambless, Ragin Chambless, Tristan Chambless, Logan Chambless, Macey Jo Darnell, and Harlee Darnell; siblings, Lindley Keith Tull, Sue Watson, Judy Weedin, and Angie Tull.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.
Graveside services will be Monday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Pallbearers are Cooper Busch, John Busch, Justin Killian, Steven Chambless, Kerry Pyle, Cody Priest, Doug Ballow, and Buddy Edwards.
