William G. "Bill" Faglie

Services for William G. “Bill” Faglie, 94, of Canton, are scheduled for 3 pm Saturday at the Little Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Parr and Bro. Joshua Rickman officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Burial will be in Cox Cemetery.

Mr. Faglie passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Canton.

Mr. Faglie was born January 8, 1921 in Canton, TX to William G. Faglie, Sr. and Lilly Shinn Faglie.

Bill was a member of Little Hope Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Faglie served in the US Army during WWII. He was a farmer, carpenter, contractor, mail carrier and inventor. He was instrumental setting up the Little Hope Moore Water Supply and maintained it for years. Bill also maintained the Cox cemetery for many years.

Mr. Faglie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Vondell Faglie of Canton; 2 daughters and their husbands: Janet and Roger Ward of Canton and Linda and Macky Lewis of Eustace; 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Danny and Kathryn Ward, Kenneth and Tonda Ward, Brad and Kate Lewis, Colby and Linsey Lewis, and Rebecca Lewis; 6 great-grandchildren: Abby Ward, Kyla Ward, Samantha Lewis, Kiersten Lewis, Emma Lewis and Derek Lewis; and brother, Charles and Julia Faglie of Canton.

Pallbearers are Tom Anderson, Charles Baskin, Tommy Bryd, Bill Goggins, Jeremy Meredith, Mike Sigler, Larry Flatt and Harry Pickens.

Family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral.
