Bill grew up in Ohio. He coached in Florida for five years before moving to Texas. Bill coached at Richland College for forty-eight years and then five years at Trinity Valley. In the 1980's, Bill coached the US Olympic Wrestling Team. He was a member of the Edom United Methodist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Latour Neal; children: Tom Neal, Jim Neal, Jennifer Neal, Scott Neal and Kevin Neal; step-son, Josh Latour; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ern Neal. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kit Corroto.
