Bill passed away peacefully on March 4, 2022 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on June 10, 1946 in Little Rock, AR, to William Edward Waggoner, Sr. and Dorothy Hunter Waggoner.
Bill was a hero in Vietnam War, as a captain and helicopter pilot, he saved many men’s lives and received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart among other medals for his service. Bill was a hero for all people when he worked in the Treasury Department, Secret Service and as Chief of Police in Red Oak, Texas. Bill was a hero in the way he cared for his beloved wife of 33 years and his adored daughter. He enjoyed going to gun shows and going on cruises. However, the best days were spent with his family, family was everything.
Bill is survived by his wife, Tammy Waggoner; daughter, Shelby Waggoner; a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Waggoner.
Bill will be laid to rest at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
