Albert Glass Fritz Jr. died July 6, 2022 at his home in Cape Coral, FL. He was born March 14, 1940 in Reading, Pa to Albert Glass Fritz Sr and Mary Harpel Fritz. He attended Wilson High School, Colorado College, and Penn State. As a Merit Scholar he earned law degree and practiced law in Long Beach, CA.
Despite a lifetime of lung issues, he had a love for the outdoors studying geology, fly fishing, birdwatching, and gardening. For many years he was in racehorse partnerships.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Smith Downey, step-daughter Shelley (Jason) Downey Consolo, grandson Elliot, one sister Carole (Kevin) Coleman, sister-in-law Joyce Fritz, brother-in-law Kenny (Melanie) Smith, and sister-in-law Virginia (Danny) Means plus his extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lynda, step-son Tye, brothers Richard, Harry, George, and Freddie.
There will be no services per his wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice or organization of your choice.
