Alberta Giles Short

Alberta Giles Tipmore Short, 83, ended her journey August 15, 2015. Ali was Born to Bertha and Francis Files in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 11, 1932.

After death of her first husband, she was married to John B. Short on October 13, 1962, who passed away on September 8, 2011.

Residing in Bowling Green, Ohio, Ali worked in the Student Development Program at Bowling Green State University. After Leaving BGSU, she was

employed for the next 18 years by Best Manufacturing, a New York/Georgia based textile company.Formally retiring, John and Ali moved to Pine Lakes Country Club where They lived until John passed. She became involved in this wonderful community and made the best friends of a lifetime there, where her passion for playing Bridge and expanding friendships continued their support faithfully through Ali’s long illness.

Ali is survived by her sister, Caroline Smith of Houston, TX; four of her six children, Donald (Sharon) Tipmore of Indianapolis, IN, Rick (Sherry)

Tipmore of N. Ft. Myers, FL, Rebecca Tipmore of Bloomington, IN, David (Barbara) Short of Cape Coral, FL. Rev. Steven (Pam) Tipmore passed away April 24, 2007; John David Short died at birth. Twelve grandchildren survive and one granddaughter died on July 19, 2002. Ali is also survived by 14 great grandchildren. Arrangements are by Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral.
