Born in Troy, NY to Dorothy and Gerald C. Joy, Allen received an Associate’s Degree from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI. He also served as a Navy Corpsman attached to Fleet Marine Force. Most of Allen’s working life was with the Grand Trunk Railroad as a trainman retiring in 2002.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Karen; 2 loving children Heather and Steve; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many, many friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery between the hours of 10 – 12pm with service and entombment to follow.
