Annette was born January 7, 1958, in Trenton, Michigan, the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Martha Roe and youngest of four siblings (Fred, Robert, Judy, and Larry). She attended Woodhaven High School in Michigan, married her high school sweetheart Dennis Harmon, Sr., in 1975, and moved to Florida. Annette spent almost her entire career working with the United States Postal Service until her retirement.
Annette loved being married to her husband Dennis, and Dennis loved being married to her. To Annette, the lyrics to Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" perfectly described their more than 50-year marriage. Annette truly loved Dennis with all of her heart and soul. Earlier this year, Annette and Dennis joyfully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Las Vegas where they renewed their vows in a spirited Elvis ceremony—a memory that perfectly reflected her fun-loving spirit.
Annette also loved everything about being a mother and was always there for her boys - Dennis, Jr. and Terry - and their wives - Jessica and Katie. As a mother, she was selfless, loving, supportive, happy, and always present. She was the perfect mom. She also treasured her role as a grandmother. Annette absolutely adored her five grandsons (Ryan, Dennis III, Austin, Jackson, and Wes) and embraced every moment of being “Grandma.” She played with them at every opportunity, braved roller coasters, attended their events, baked cookies, read stories, and celebrated their achievements with pride. She loved being "Grandma" so much.
Annette was also an amazing cook and huge sports fan (The University of Michigan Wolverines - Go Blue! and Detroit Lions). She loved the holidays, decorating the house, and spending time with Dennis, their cherished dogs, and other family members at the family cabin in North Carolina. Annette’s life was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Annette’s legacy and the traditions she created will forever live on through her family and friends and in the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Roe; sister, Judy Reichow; mother-in-law, Mary Harmon; as well as her sister-in-law, Monica Harmon.
Annette is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis Harmon; two sons, Dennis Harmon, Jr. (Jessica) and Terry Harmon (Katie); five grandsons, Ryan, Dennis III, Austin, Jackson and Wes; two brothers, Larry Roe (Karen) and Fred Roe; brother-in-law, Steve Harmon; as well as many extended family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her husband Dennis, her children and grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
Annette's family would like to provide lunch to attendees immediately after the Memorial Mass at Ariani Ristorante Italiano, 1529 SE 15th Terrace, Cape Coral, Florida 33990 (approximately 12:45 PM).
