Beverly Myer, 75, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Naples, Florida. She was born in Florence, Alabama on October 5, 1946. Beverly was the daughter of the late Don and Anna Wilson. She was a graduate of Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Indiana, and later attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Broadcast Journalism.
Beverly worked as a model for several years and once she obtained her degree, she went on to have a career in broadcast journalism that spanned 25 years at newsrooms in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and New York. She eventually moved to Cape Coral, Florida to be closer to family and worked for several years as a patient service representative for Lee Health.
Beverly was an avid reader and a lover of dogs, especially her beloved Weimaraners.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Nancy (David) Vieceli of Cape Coral, Florida, her brother, Michael (Mary) Wilson of Elkhart, Indiana, several nieces and nephews and Ronald Myer of Kansas City, Kansas.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery in Cape Coral, FL.
