

Charles W. Festian Jr., 69, of Cape Coral went peacefully to be with his Lord, Thursday, September 13, 2012. Born May 10, 1943 in Chicago, IL to Charles and Lydia, Chuck married M. Kay November 19th 1995 during a 7 day Caribbean cruise. They were surrounded by thirty five family, friends and officiating Priest. Songs from Phantom of the Opera were sung by Chuck to his bride. Chuck graduated from Cooley HS, Detroit, MI in 1961 and received a Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI in 1966. Music was a God-given gift that Chuck excelled at, and freely gave of for the pleasure of others. His musical training started early under the direction of his father Charles Sr. who was the choir director of the local Baptist Church in Detroit and continued through High School "Honors Choir”. He was a member of the Epiphany Episcopal Vocal & Bell Choir, and Sounds of Florida singing group. He also actively served as a volunteer with Lee County Parks & Recreation of Ft. Myers and Epiphany Church Pastoral Care.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years Kay; loving mother Lydia of Sterling Heights; dear siblings Jerry (Pam) of Troy, MI and Susan (Ron) Sipp of Tuscan, AZ; cherished sons Gregory (Diane) of Plymouth, MI and Jeffery (Stephanie) of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren Amber, Adam, Lydia P., Jacquelin and Korey; brother in laws David Yoder and John Yoder; nieces Lisa and Nichole Festian, Jennifer (Eric) Clark, Kristen Yoder, Sarah and Amanda Dougherty, Ashley (Johnathan) Allen; nephews Dr. Scott (Ilene) Sipp, Steven (Amy) Sipp and many friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his father Charles Sr.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 29th at the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 2507 DelPrado Blvd. S. in Cape Coral.
