My dear friend Sue, I am so sorry for your loss.  Charlie was a great man, and one of a kind husband.    He always had a kind word for folks,  don't think I ever saw him or spoke to him that he didn't make me laugh and have fun.  He was a rare man indeed.  Not only were you each others best friend, but  the loves of each others lives. He  loved you more than anyone in the world.  You were both so blessed to have found each other as soulmates, with such a true and abiding love.  Every time either one of you talked about the other one, your heartlights shone from inside, your eyes and faces lit up like Christmas tree lights, always acted like newlyweds. Charlie lived his life on his own terms and was a great example for us all.   You are in my thoughts and prayers always, Love Pam Connolly.

Susan, So very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I have warm memories of our Saturday morning golf outings togetherl. Please know you are in my thoughts & prayers. Charlie will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.

There aren't enough words we can find to say how much we loved Charlie and how utterly sad we are that he has left us.  A man of so many talents, he was as great reading poetry as he was swinging a golf club.  We'll miss his jokes - wasn't he great at delivering those - and everything else about him.  Charlie and Susie ... two of our dearest, closest friends.  Susie ... We love you so and are praying that God's grace will sustain you.  Losing your Mother, then Charlie, within the span of two months!  It is more than anyone can imagine.  We hope you know that all of us who love you are praying God will give you peace as you go through the difficult days just ahead.  You are not alone!

Charlie was a very, very close friend of my family and I. We would always make time to visit him and his wife, Susan, when we had our place in the same condo complex as Charlie and Susan. He was a very loving, caring, and kind man, my American grandfather. I know he lived a great life. We would have a lot of fun with him out on the golf course, and then at The Lighthouse Restaurant looking out over the San Carlos Bay towards Sanibel Island. So many fond memories, jokes, and times that we had with Charlie and Susan. I remember when Charlie, my dad, and I played golf one time on Sanibel Island - we hit a huge rain storm, and didn't give up on the round, but hung out and had a good time for the next 30-45 minutes. I will keep Charlie and Susan and their family in my thoughts and prayers - thank you so much for all that you guys have done for us.

Charlie was bigger than life, full of life and a shining example of how you can live life to the fullest. On the golf course, he taught all of us many lessons in putting, In life, he showed us how to overcome the many issues that plague all of us and thank the lord for every day you get to enjoy on this earth. We will hold him, Susan and his children in our prayers. He will be missed.
