Christa Anna Elisabeth Seifert

Born in Fallingbostel, Germany, Christa grew up alongside her three brothers. During this time is where she met the love of her life, Erich Seifert. In 1956, they immigrated to the United States and courageously started a new chapter of her life in Indiana. Where Christa, along with her husband, Erich, obtained their US citizenship in 1962. Christa worked for many years as a talented hairdresser at Stillman’s Department Store in Ft. Wayne.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her son and daughter, attending many soccer games and gymnastics tournaments. Christa and Erich enjoyed many years of traveling, seeing countless countries and hiking all over the world.

Christa greatest joy was cooking for her family and friends, specially making Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. She shared her joy of cooking and singing with her beloved German Social Clubs both in Ft. Wayne and in Cape Coral by making gallons of potato salad for Octoberfest and singing in their choirs. She loved to crochet and later mastered cross-stitch. She always had a radiant smile and generous heart.

Christa was predeceased by her parents and two of her brothers. She is survived by her devoted husband of over 70 years, Erich; her son Achim (and Kathy); her daughter Monika (and Scott); her brother Siegfried (and Ebbi); five grandchildren Emily, Molly, Matt, Bryce, Christa; and two great-grandchildren Eleanor and Harper – who will forever carry her love of family, food, music and adventure in their hearts.

Christa's legacy is one of unwavering love, generous hospitality, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
