He was a retired Sergeant in the US Air Force and retired from the Lee County Sheriff Department as an Intoxilyzer Inspector.
David is survived by his daughter Mary-Margaret Claflin, son William Robert Claflin (Kim), son Anthony Joseph Claflin (Leah), 3 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons.
David preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Claflin and grandson Jeremy Jupina.
