

Delia Sarah Kepouros, age 81, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026. She was born on December 16, 1944, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Dee met James Kepouros almost 40 years ago and the romance blossomed immediately. When Jim passed away four-and-a-half years ago, her broken heart never mended. She is reunited with her husband Jim in heaven.
Delia will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and generous heart in helping those in need. She was known to have an artistic flare and adapted to whatever task was presented to her. Whether it was gardening, decorating, computer things, and cooking phenomenal meals, she had a knack for countless areas.
Delia leaves behind her sister, Pastor Jill Dugal, brothers David Rivers, (Murielle Rivers), John Rivers (Dianne Rivers), and William Rivers (Jocelyne Rivers), stepsons, James Kepouros (Fiancé Kelly Tran) and Edward Kepouros (Joy Kepouros), step-granddaughter Kaithlyn, step-grandsons Jimmy Kepouros and Kyle Kepouros), along with several nieces and nephews, and best friend Elva Radick (Terry Senger). She was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her brothers Daniel Rivers (Patricia Rivers), and James Rivers (Gale Rivers).
She was president of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in Chicago, Illinois, raising funds for young people's education and many charities.
She was a devout Christian, with a deep love for Jesus Christ. She served as a Treasurer at Water's Edge Church of God for more than 20 years.
Delia will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Funeral Service and Life Celebration for Delia will be celebrated 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026 inside the Remembrance Events Center at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, (239) 283-0540. Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home for a half-hour prior to this ceremony beginning at 3:30 PM to offer condolences and share memories about Delia.

Funeral arrangements in Florida have been entrusted to Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Delia will be laid to rest alongside her previously deceased husband James at Resurrection Cemetery located in Justice, Illinois.
