

She was born on October 25,1945 in Michigan to Albert Henry and Edith Fay Hill.
Dolores lived a life centered around love, family, and devotion to those closest to her.
She met the love of her life at the young age of 12 and went on to marry him at just 17 years old. William Leon Simmons asked this beautiful soul to share a lifetime together, and they built an amazing journey filled with love. Through hard work and dedication, they created a beautiful family and a life rich in memories.
Together, they enjoyed attending car shows, shopping and thrifting, cooking, and sharing dinners with their family—moments that brought them great joy and created lasting memories.
She found happiness in the simple things—especially time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, her resilience, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She was the proud mother of three beautiful children: Rebecca Ann (Scott) Gardner; Pamela Mae (William) Bush; and William Shawn (Denise) Simmons.
She was also blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and was so proud of: Amanda Nicole Gardner (Adam); John William (Vici) Thomas; Megan Marie Gardner (Ryan); Jerrica Mae Lucero; Emily Ann (Christopher) Doucette; William Devesty (Clarissa) Bush; William Cody (Sarah) Simmons; and Dillon Cory Simmons.
She was further blessed with nineteen great-grandchildren: Zachary, Benjamin, Madilyn, Aiden, Korey, John William, Nora, Hunter, Lily, Wyatt, Emelyn, Michael, Dalton, Marleigh, Allison, Bentley, Jase, Noah, and Mazikeen, as well as her angel baby great-granddaughter, Everleigh Fay.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Albert Henry and Edith Fay Hill; the man of her dreams and beloved husband, William Leon Simmons; and her cherished grandson, Dillon.
She is survived by her loving family, including her brother, Bruce Hill, along with many friends who will deeply miss her.
A Celebration of Life for Dolores will be officiated by Celebrant Dennis Antoniello and is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026. This ceremony will take place at Mausoleum III inside the Garden of Memories at Coral Ridge Memorial Park and Cremation Gardens, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, (239) 283-0540. At the conclusion of this service, Dolores will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband William L. Simmons who passed away in 2006.
