Doris Carlene Vickers, 83, a lifelong resident of Lee County, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2026, in Fort Myers. Born in Fort Myers to the late Henry and Rozella (Summerall) Dees, Doris carried the deep roots of her hometown proudly throughout her life.
Doris was one heck of a lady—a woman whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family defined her every day. She had a heart that seemed to stretch endlessly, always making room for the people she loved. Her family was the apple of her eye, her greatest joy, and she kept them at the center of her world without fail.
She had a gentle spirit and a sweet way of seeing beauty in life’s small wonders. Butterflies were her favorite—delicate, colorful reminders of hope and transformation—but even they paled in comparison to the love she held for her family. They were her #1, always and forever.
Doris leaves behind a legacy of compassion, loyalty, and love that will continue to shine through the generations she nurtured. Her presence was a gift, her heart a refuge, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
A Graveside Service will be Celebrated 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Coral Ridge Memorial Park and Cremation Gardens, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S., Cape Coral, FL 33993.
