Dorothy was my beloved big sister. She was always by my side growing up and helped me thru tough times when we were adults.
I have so many memories of Dorothy all very pleasant ones. I can still Dorothy and Jim skating at Ciceros local skating rink. we didn't get to visit much after they moved to Florida, but kept updated with our lives by phone, and cried and laughed together. she called me Sunday night and she was so happy and said how good her and Jim were doing. I know she is in heaven dancing with the angles. I miss her and love her so much. Lord please give her a hug for me. take her in your arms and cradle her. love you Dot. Your Little sister Virginia.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Dorothy's family. May our condolences bring you comfort and may our prayers ease the pain of your loss. God give you the peace that you seek.
Dorothy & I met in 2000 when we started clogging classes at the NFM Recreation Center on Orange Grove Blvd. We became instant friends & introduced our husbands who also became fast friends. The four of us enjoyed many casino trips to Biloxi, Gulf Port, & Tunica Mississippi. We also made several trips to Miami, Atlantic City and visited the various local casino arcades in North Ft Myers as well as the Seminole Immokalee Casino. Dorothy was very special and had a real talent for poetry. We will miss her dearly. 💜 Phil & Donna Harper

I knew Dorothy and her family growing up in Blairsville. We Garmon kids loved the Baker girls! Your whole family was just tons of fun! Dorothy was calm and kind through everything- even as crazy as a houseful of kids . , which was pretty much all of the time. Truly a lovely lady and a great role model. She was a friend to everyone who knew her and she will be missed. Saying a prayer for all of you. Hope you are all well.
