Oh, how very much I enjoyed looking at all these old pictures. They paint such a beautiful picture of a happy life I never knew of. The early years, the marriage, the birth of two lovely daughters, the trips away and holidays, the celebrations and milestones all serve to portray a life well lived. I never spent a lot of time with Aunt Dottie, but the one thing I will always remember about her was her smile. It lives on in the both of you, a combination of both mother and father. I know it’s a difficult time to share it now, but whenever you are able, use it often and let your mama and Papa’s light shine on. Love you, both. Thinking of you and wishing you peace.
With deepest sympathy,
Your cousin,
Diane

I feel blessed to have known you over the past couple years. Even though it was for a short time, I feel like I knew you forever.
I will truly miss all our conversations that took place in the office and over the phone. I enjoyed listening to all your life stories.
May you rest in peace.
Thinking of the family and wishing you comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Dottie was one of the most sincere and kindhearted people I have ever known. She was a source of advice and support in my life for many years, through numerous challenges. I offer my sympathy to her family and friends at this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that we learn of Dottie's passing. Dottie joined the Lee County Genealogical Society in 2002 and became an important part of volunteer group. Dottie always had a smile for our members and guests and was one of our first members to respond to our requests for help.
