Edna Mae Swalwell, 91, of Matlacha, FL. Formerly of Mifflinburg, PA.
Passed away on June 16, 2014 at her home.
Daughter of the late Herbert L. Wirth and Alda L. (Badger) Wirth.
Survived by her son James (Judy) of CO., grandson James III (Darlene), granddaughter Cristina (Gary), 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Edna was the eldest of 12 children and is survived by one brother Gordon Wirth, of Selinsgrove; and 4 sisters; June Hoffman, of Mifflinburg, Dolores (Robert) Mayer, of Millmont, Nancy Mielke, of Mifflinburg, and Kathleen (Charles) Pursell, of Penns Creek and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She retired with her husband and moved to Florida in the late 70’s to follow her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates at their spring training grounds. She was an avid baseball fan and fisherwoman, and lover of all animals. Edna was known for her delicious cooking that she enjoyed sharing with all, having cooked at the Lob-Lolly in Matlacha for 12 years after moving to FL.
Viewing will be at Coral Ridge Funeral Home 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL. From 10-11am Monday June 23 followed by graveside service and burial at 11am. rrangements by Coral Ridge Funeral Home, Cape Coral 33991.
