

Age 62
Of Cape Coral, FL formerly of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday May 23, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Cynthia Ganczewski, devoted father of Alyssa Ganczewski of New Jersey. Brother of Sue Barry and Carol Ganczewski. He is also survived by his fur babies Joey and Holmes. Edward was predeceased by his parents Edward and Vera Ganczewski.
Ed was born in Omaha, N.E. and was raised in Scotch Plains , NJ. He played football, basketball & baseball at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School where he was a star pitcher. His team won the state championship in 1978. He attended Seton Hall & pitched for their team as well.
After college, Ed enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Korea as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. Later, Ed found his calling as a Mortgage Banker.
As his friends and family will tell you, Ed definitely lived life to the fullest and had a great time doing it! He also credited AA for helping him stay sober over the last 20+ years and became a sponsor to many. Ed was a Corvette enthusiast and had several throughout his life. He was a super lover of music and was forever frustrated that Alice In Chains was still not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Although he was a world traveler, Ed was happiest in his home & pool in Cape Coral, FL swimming with his family and dogs. Adored by so many, he was an extremely proud Papa and an adoring Husband. We will forever be blessed to have Ed in our hearts & homes. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed’s name may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
