Eleanor was born in Providence, RI on October 23, 1929, to Herbert Mycroft and Catherine Somers Mycroft. Predeceased by her siblings Dorothea, Herbert and Mary Lou, her husband of 67 years Joseph McCabe, and her son-in- laws Bernard Kissinger and Richard Moss-Solomon. She is survived by her children, Maureen Kissinger, Joseph (Marcia)McCabe, James (Caralynne) McCabe, Catherine Moss-Solomon, Patricia (Edward) Plante, Nancy (Gary) Burke. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren Michelle, Paul, Joseph, Kelly, Deirdre, Bridget, Brian, Corey, Elizabeth, Tyler, Meghan, Dustin, Natasha, Christopher, Nicole, Erin, Nora, June, Kimberly, Shannon and Caitlin. She had 25 great grandchildren.
Eleanor was a licensed real estate broker, and agent.
Eleanor was a world traveler, and enjoyed traveling with her family most of all.
Visitation will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, US, on August 10, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Boulevard S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, US, on August 10, 2026, from 10:45 am to 11:45 am. Burial will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241, on August 10, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
