Ewald attended the University of Cincinnati and served in the Air Force. He had a career at General Electric as a test flight engineer and worked in their aircraft engine division for 41 years.
He was a member of the N.R.A and locally attended St. Terese Church in North Fort Myers, Florida. Before residing in Florida, he was a parishioner at Our Lady of Visitation Church in Mack, Ohio.
Ewald was passionate about airplanes and always enjoyed pro football games, especially the Cincinnati Bengals "Who Dey!".
Ewald is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy K. Wuebbeler, and his children, Kathleen McElroy (Terry) and Steven Wuebbeler. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Dan Wuebbeler, Andy Wuebbeler, Molly McElroy, and his niece Denise Klekamp (Rick), to cherish his memory forever.
He was preceded in death by his sister, the late Mary Jo Scahill, and his nephew, the late Mark Scahill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ewald's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America and Hope Hospice.
