Worked with Florence at GULF Coast CENTER IN THE EIGHTIES. She was passionate about people and spent every moment thinking how to fulfil possibilities despite disabilities. A life well lived RIP.

Florence was my boss/supervisor/friend all rolled into one. We worked together for many enjoyable years. I had tried to contact her on several occasions but the information I had didn't result in my getting in touch with her. We had many good times at her house over the years which included most of the people who worked with her. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Rest in Peace Florence. You will be sadly missed.

I met Flo in 1974 - she was a Speech Therapist at Sunland Center in Buckingham and I was the sixth Superintendent of that Facility from 1974 to 1980. She always wore those type of ear-rings, and was an inspiration to all. Later my wife and I were guests at their home on Pine Island. Flo was a respected administrator at the re-named Gulf Coast Center for years. Glad she was able to live her life out on her beloved Pine Island.
