Francesco Siggia

Our dear father was born May 12, 1942 in Agrigento, Italy, to Antonino Siggia and Giuseppina Spagliarisi, who preceded him in death.

He married Antonina Basile on July 31st, 1968. After marriage, Francesco and Antonina raised 4 children, Giuseppina, Raimonda and twin sons, Pompeo, and Antonio. In 1985 the family moved to Brooklyn, NY and settled in the Canarsie neighborhood. Francesco was the only child of Antonino and Giuseppina however he had three stepsisters, Constantina, Ninetta and Carmela Siggia, who have proceeded him in death. He was known as “Ciccio” to his close friends and loving wife and Nonno to his four grandchildren. He was a man of humor. He loved travel, dancing at weddings, good food, cars and always dressed well. His everyday clothes included a suit, vest, and tie.

Francesco worked in the automotive industry for more than 30 years for BMW, Fiat and Alfa Romeo. His passion though, was BMW.

Francesco is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Dylan Siggia, Sabrina Bonanno, Jordan Siggia, and Anthony Siggia. Nonno will be missed dearly but remembered fondly. In addition, he is survived by daughter in law Ilyssa Siggia, wife of Pompeo and son in law Andrew Gagel, husband of Raimonda.

Our dear Francesco is now in Jehovah God’s memory and we look forward to seeing him again soon when, after resurrection, he will be returned to his youthful vigor and death will be done away with. (John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3-5) Until that time, he will be held dear in our hearts and will be missed.
