After graduation from North Ft Myers high she continued her education by becoming a Cosmetologist. Frankie’s passion and drive led her to become a master stylist. She had a long and creative career at JC Penny Salon in the Edison Mall. Of all the awards, merits and certifications Frankie earned during her career, she was most proud of being named Top Producer in Florida for JC Penny’s, several times. She had a gift of making you look and feel beautiful.
Frankie loved life and spending time with her family, especially her sons and grandchildren. She was a fun and adventurous spirit.
Frankie was a good friend to many. Her family, neighbors and friends could always count on her to help- out, lend a hand, give rides and be there when needed. Her kindness will be greatly missed.
Frankie is survived by her son, Rick Ivy, grandchildren Ricky Ivy (Amanda), Brian Ivy, Nicki Piner (Jeremy), Brittany Ivy (Ryan), great grandchildren, Hope, Chance, Camden, Bryce, Angie, Lilly, Layla, and Lucas. Siblings Lucian Long (Betty), Woody Long, Elvis Long (Marylou), Larry Long (Sylvia), and Ernestine Squires (Leland). Nephew and nieces Kenny Long, Klayton Long, Karie Long, Jessie Long, Renee Long, Pam Brown, Tina Martin, Waylon Squires and many great nieces and nephews. Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Mary Long, her son Reggie Ivy and her nephew Bobby Holloway, Jr.
Visitation will be held at Coral Ridge Cemetery located at 950 Chiquita Boulevard in Cape Coral on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 10:00am – 12:00. Graveside service at 12:00.
Flowers are welcome or a donation to Frankie’s favorite charity, The Bobby Holloway Jr memorial fund.
