Gary Alan Kohout

Gary Kohout, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on January 21,2023 unexpectedly at the age of 67. Gary was born on May 24,1955 to James and Dorothy Kohout in Dearborn, Michigan. He graduated from Mott High School in 1973 and then continued his education at Walsh College. He worked as a marine broker for Gregory Boat Company for over 20 years. On November 21, 1986 he married his wife Debra. They were happily married for 36 years. They have 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. In 2019 Gary retired and has enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, children, friends, and family. He and Debbie built their dream home in Florida. He also enjoyed being on a boat no matter if it was on a lake or in the ocean. Gary is survived by his wife Debra Kohout, his daughters Cassandra (Christopher) Straub, Lindsey Eisenberg, Chelsie (Jesse) Fukuda, his brother Jim (Susan) Kohout and his grandchildren Gavin, Kendra, Chase, Reagan, Eli, and Greyson. Gary was predeceased by his parents, James and Dorothy Kohout. At his request, no services will be held. A celebration of life with be held at a later date.
