Jorge Luis Artiles of Cape Coral, Florida (Hometown Tom’s River NJ), better known simply as "George" to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 6, 2026 with his loving family by his side while receiving Hospice care at the conclusion of a courageous health battle. He was 62 years old.
George was born in Cuba on August 29, 1963, the proud son to Ana (Alvarez-Monteagudo) and Ramon Artiles.
George survived by his loving wife Miriam (Rengifo), two loving children Andrew and Angela Artiles, his parents Ramon and Ana and his grandchild Emersyn Artiles.
A Funeral Service for George will be officiated by Celebrant Glenn Pomerantz at 2:00 PM on August 15, 2026 inside the Remembrance Events Center at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S, Cape Coral, FL 33991, (239) 283-0540. Friends are invited to gather for two hours in advance of this ceremony, beginning at 12 Noon, for a time of hospitality with appetizers and refreshments served. This time offers George's extended family and friends the chance to share condolences, stories and remembrances about George. In honor of George’s vibrant spirit and love for life, you are requested to celebrate his memory by wearing bright, tropical colors rather than traditional black. Let the colors of the ocean, sunshine, and paradise reflect the joy and energy George brought into every life he touched.
