It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, George “Michael” Jordan, who left us on December 25, 2024 at the age of 89. Surrounded by his loving daughters in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.
Michael was born in Paris, KY on April 15th, 1935. He spent most of his youth in the town of Bethlehem, Indiana. He moved to Akron, OH as a young adult where he attended the University of Akron while working at Howie’s on the Lake, Portage Lakes. This is where he met his wife Jennie Lee Geis. They married on October 25th,1958 and had five daughters. He eventually moved to Florida in 1990 to enjoy his love of fishing and boating.
Michael was a successful business owner and an expert in the tire service industry. When not dedicating his time to his business his biggest joys in life were family, friends, food and spirits (along with singing a song or two as loud as he could). He
was known for his captivating presence and elaborate storytelling. He really loved entertaining people and getting them to laugh. It always warmed his heart if he could make you smile.
Michael is preceded in death by his father Lawerence Michael Jordan and mother Helen Marjorie (Clemmons) Jordan, and his daughters, Michelle and Rhonda.
He is survived by his daughters Rachelle Marchant (Tom), Monica Wagar (Bill), Kelly Federico (Jeff), granddaughters Charisse Castellano (Alfonso), Cara Marchant, Corinne Marchant, Jordan Federico, and his great granddaughters Bailee Dyer and Madilyn McKowen.
A private service will be held by the family. Donations may be made on behalf of Michael to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy E., Cape Coral FL 33909.
