My name is Pat McAnulty and am a member of Riverside Church in Fort Myers. First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I too grieve her loss because Gladys was my special friend for many years. I met her when we worked together in the kitchen many years ago at church making meals on Wednesday nights. We shared many memories and much laughter while we peeled potatoes, washed dishes and did all our menial tasks to help Sarah Strickland in the church kitchen. We always hugged and shared updates after the church meals ended. I know she loved her family and she always filled me in on her visits with all of you which were filled with love and wonderful memories. I know you will miss her, but please know I will too.

The first word that comes to my mind when describing Tante Gladys is happy. Tante Gladys always had a smile on her face. Growing up, many of my summer hours in Wisconsin, were spent in her craft room and playing dress up with cousins. Every year, Tante Gladys would send us birthday cards. She always had an ample supplies of sea shells and candy. Tante Gladys will be missed very much. But, we can rejoice that God used her to further His kingdom here on Earth and now she is face to face with our Savior. ❤️ This photo was taken October 2019. Thankful that Tante Gladys, Wayne, and Debbie made the trip from Florida to Michigan to help us celebrate.

One memory is showing up at Tante Gladys’ Long Island house, and heading into the living room to see what she had in the candy bowl on her coffee table! (This was not a one-time memory. This went on for years! )

Camp Lewis!! ❤️ The Hervold girls “checked in” for the week when mom went off to Dallas every summer. Tante Gladys always kept us busy. She always made everything fun!!

Those nails!!!! 🥰. She could put me into instant relaxation mode, tracing her fingers along my back.

She will be greatly missed. The memories I hold over the years, I will cherish every single one. Christmases, holidays, her cream puffs (I couldn't get enough) and traveling with them in their camper, Taunte Gladys was all about togetherness and making loving memories, and that we have. She is deeply loved and deeply missed. But, I am so very grateful that someday I will see her on the glory side. Thank you God for her beautiful life!
