Harold C and Sadie G (French) Lobley of Orrington, ME, Harold "Jake" proudly served in the US Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Thelma Joyce Lobley of Cape Coral; son John (Cynthia) of Riverview, FL; daughter Judith (Roderick) White of Old Lyme, CT; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers Norman (Joyce) of South Portland, Robert (Julia) of Orrington and Earl (Wendy) of Folsom, CA; 2 sisters Alfreda (Paul) Webster of Bangor, and Linda (William) St. Louis of Ocala, FL.
He was predeceased by his brother Perley of Bangor, 2 sisters Gloria York of Orrington and Geraldine Grindle of Ellsworth.
Jake was a skilled carpenter, working from the basic construction of building homes to a detailed cabinetmaker. He spent many summers working at the renowned Robinhood Camp for Boys in Sedgewick, ME. During the second phase of his career while working for the Flag Center in Cambridge, MA, Jake was selected for the honor of erecting the American Flag within the JFK Library in Boston.
Services and burial with military honors will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL 33991. 239-283-0540.
