Hazel Evelyn Everhardt Anlauf

Hazel Evelyn Anlauf, 90 of Fort Myers Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. After 26 years in the Appliance Business in Wisconsin, Walter and Hazel moved to Fort Myers Beach in 1969. While living in Fort Myers Beach she was a member of Saint Raphael by the Sea Anglican Parish. With her husband and daughter, Cris, they built, owned and operated the Sandpiper Gulf Resort on Fort Myers Beach for 30 years. Mrs. Anlauf has resided at The Springs at Shell Point since January. She enjoyed reading, winning at card games, traveling and fishing. She especially loved the time she spent with her family.

Mrs. Anlauf is survived by her daughters, Cris (“Zack”) Zack of Fort Myers Beach and Douglas Island, Alaska and Judy Lee Grace of Lehigh Acres, FL; grandchildren, Dee Ann (Nick) Dakos, Tony Craig, Tim Craig, Ted (Ana) Craig, Melanie (Michael) Coleman and Ty Thomson; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Savannah, Sydney, Owen, Elliot, Sierra, Logan and Trevor; sister, Carol (Roman) Frey; brother, Mark (Rose) Eberhardt; brother in law, Roger(Lucretia) Anlauf; sister in laws, Rose Brown and Phyllis Anlauf. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Anlauf, brothers, Jack and Clayton, son in law, Doug Grace.

Her life will be celebrated at 2 pm on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. Visitation will begin at 1 pm. Following the service burial will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Community Christian School, c/o Cris Zack, PO Box 240711, Douglas, AK 99824.
