

Henry B. “Hank” Rinick, Jr., 91, of Cape Coral, Florida, loving husband and devoted father, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1933, in Williamsport, PA., son to the late Henry B. Rinick, Sr and Marguerite (Humelsine) Rinick.
Hank grew up in Chambersburg, PA, with his late twin sister Colleen and late step bother Jack Barger, and graduated from Chambersburg High School. He served with the United States Army, Signal Corps, from 1954 to 1956 as a High Speed Radio Operator and Radio and Radar Repair. He attended Shippensburg State Teachers College, class of 1957, where he earned his BS in Secondary Education, and Penn State University, class of 1960, where he earned his Master’s in Science – Entomology.
He was a Research Entomologist with the Cornell University - New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, in Geneva, New York from 1961 to 1969. He was also a Tree Surgeon with Monroe Tree and Landscaping, Inc. from 1969 to 1980 where he earned Vice President and Canandaigua Branch Manager. He was also a Personal Financial Planner with IDS American Express from 1981 to 1990 where he was a Member Master Millionaires Club. He was also an Adjunct Biology Professor with Edison Community College, Fort Myers, FL, a Recruiting Manager for the 2000 US Census Bureau, Port Charlotte, FL, with GE Financial Assurance, Fort Myers, FL, and Owner and Operator of Rinick Insurance Agency, in Cape Coral, FL.
He loved to hunt, fly fish, freshwater and saltwater fishing, and golf. In his youth he was proud to be a Boy Scout in Pennsylvania, and later served with Boy Scout Troop 4, Geneva, NY as a committee member. He was with many organizations through his life. He was a long time member of Lions Club International, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Geneva, New York. Was a member of the Geneva Rod and Gun Club, and as member of Sports-O-Rama, Geneva, New York in 1964 they started the Annual Lake Trout Derby in Geneva New York, which continues today, and championed with the designation of Geneva as the “Lake Trout Capital of the World”. In Florida, he served as President of Gold Coast Estates in Cape Coral, as President of Tropical Sands Resort Owners Association, a member of the Fort Myers Coin Club, a past member of the Gulf Coast African Violets Society, among many others.
He is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife of 67 years, Anna Marie (Cala) Rinick; daughter Jolee; sons Gregory and Jeffery, grandchildren Scot, Joseph, Carissa, Danielle, James, and Sara, and great granddaughter Willow.
Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family for the Military services on Thursday, December 5th at 11:30 am at the Sarasota National Cemetery located at 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241. A memorial celebration will also be held on Friday, December 6th, at from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the court yard at the Gallery of Cape Coral located at 2219 Chiquita Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL 33991.
