

Hank Sampson, 81, of North Ft. Myers passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 surrounded by his loving wife, daughters, and family. Born in Carlisle, KY, Hank moved to Cincinnati, OH at an early age, later moving his family to Cape Coral in 1964.
Hank joined the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law. He and his wife Kathy were exemplary parents to their three daughters and made a strong, loving family unit. Hank was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Fort Myers Elks Lodge #1288, and the American Legion. He loved to play the guitar and organ for his family, playing basketball with his grandsons, doing yard work, dancing with his wife, playing with his dog "Lady" and watching college football and basketball, (Kentucky Wildcats).
He will be desperately missed by his beloved wife of 60 years Kathy; 3 loving daughters Sandy (Larry) Jones, Jana (Mike) Jones, and Stacey (Dwight Sparling) Young; 5 dear grandchildren Mike and Rebekah Peaco, Mark Williamson, Jr., Alexis and Kaylyn Young; 7 cherished great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Keegan Peaco, Alex Pasqualoni, MacKenzie, Madison, and Maggie Peaco, Sophia Waskey, his sister Betty Rudman of Cincinnati, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 24th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery between the hours of 10 - 12pm with service and interment with military honors to follow.
