He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Barbara (Ralph) Lawrence and Cornelia “Neah” (James) Norton, Opal (Appie) James and Inez (William) Hutchcraft, brothers Otis Hurtt & Ottie Hurtt, grandsons Dalton Goodwin & Cole Goodwin, and daughter-in-law Stacie Hurtt, and sons-in-law Jordan Humphrey and Jeffrey Goodwin.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth. Also his brothers Perry Charles (Bettie) Hurtt, Jr. & Gordon (Marion) Hurtt, four children; Deborah “Karmen” (Donnie)Hurtt-Rogers, Patricia (David) Hurtt-Bateman, Linda Salmon, and H. Jeffrey Hurtt,16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
