Irene S. Houpt, 88 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 27, 1925 in Searles, Alabama to James and Annie Howell Swinndle. Mrs. Houpt moved to Cape Coral over 30 years ago. She was a member of the Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral.
Mrs. Houpt is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Metcalf of Cape Coral and Susan Godfrey of New York; grandchildren, Lisa and Chris; great grandchildren, Jonas and Trey. She is preceded in death by her husband, James.
Memorial Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 21st at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral. The family will have visitation starting at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
