I met Jack when I first started driving. He was the most affordable place to find car insurance in Port Charlotte. After I got married and had my first daughter Jack hired me part time as a file clerk. It was perfect! I only worked a few hours everyday, but it was just enough to help me out. Soon after we moved to Massachusetts. I then had another baby. I reached out to Jack because we wanted to move back and Jack always told me if I ever moved back my job was here or he would find something for me to do in the office, and that was his plan. Even when I was living in MA he always asked my parents how I was doing. We moved back to FL and I met with Jack, he told me when I was ready to start working just give him a call. A few months past and I got word that Jack had passed away. I did not get to attend the funeral because I did not know of his passing until the day after his service. Jack was the kindest most generous person I have EVER met, not only that but the best boss I have ever worked for. Now that I am working for Sherryl, I see why they made such a prefect couple. They are both so much alike. I am sad that you are gone and we all wish you were still here, only time will help heal the void in all of our hearts. May you rest in peace up in Heaven. Where to begin. Its been a year and I still miss you. I am so grateful for the chance to work with you and get to know what a great Man you were. You taught me to think outside the box, and I know you lost some hair because of my antics.(It makes my hair hurt) You cared so deeply about everybody from customers to strangers to coworkers. I can only pray that I can live up to your standards or close to them and that your looking down knowing I am trying to make sure you would be proud of the person I have become working side by side with you. I will forever have your back, transferred to Sherryl. God Bless you and your family.

I believe that greatness is not simply how far one can throw a ball.  Or how high he can jump. Or how fast she might run. Greatness is giving.  And feeling.  And goodness.  And Godliness.  And making better those things that serve to improve the quality of life in our society.  These are the TRUE greatness qualities...and these were the heart and soul of Jack.  He was loved and he will be missed.  God Bless him, Sheryl, and his entire family.

Jack...what can I say about Jack. He was such a presence, such a booming voice, such a wonderful man. I have known Jack for about 14 years now, and I will never forget him. He was always so kind. I will never forget how he would come in the office and say "Hi Angie" I don't let anyone call me Angie but Jack always did. I always let him. May your family find comfort in your memories of him and may he RIP in the arms of the angels. I will miss you Jack!!

It was my distinct pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet and do business with Jack.  Always positive, every conversation that I ever had with him was one that I looked forward to, and when we were working together, I found Jack to be a pleasant and fair-minded businessman who operated with integrity.  I'm very sorry to hear of your loss, and will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Jack as one of my agents. He was always such a positive person and showed care and compassion for his customers and staff. I will miss seeing his smile and send my prayers for his family.

Jack and I were classmates and homeroom pals at Shelbyville High School.  At high school reunions, I looked forward to talking with him.  He was always so up beat.  The last time we met, I had just moved to Lehigh Acres.  As it happened, I became too involved with my teaching duties etc. and missed getting together with him again.

I just heard the news today. My heart is breaking for Jack's beautiful family. He was my neighbor for many years in Cape Coral, Fl and could always be counted on for a wave and a smile as I was coming or going to and from school. He was an amazing person and I know that my family will always remember him as our best neighbor. Love to Sherryl, Lindsay, Jim and the rest of the family.

I will always remember Jack as a warm caring person he touched my life when he sold me a pair of shoes at Hubs over 40 years ago after the sale I had a friend for life he always remembered me by name He changed live what a fine man he was. also had great parents

I am also one of those Jack helped in time of need...I remember members of that other church being flown to North Carolina about 18 years ago, when Phillip was lost in the mountains. We all will miss him! I love you Sherryl!

Jack helped us spiritually, mentally, financially, and physically. Jack has brought us closer to Christ. He set an example that will stand front and center for the rest of our lives. That is the perfect picture for Mr. Alexander because he was always smiling and encouraging others. He was a blessing in my life and I am gonna miss swapping flying stories with him. I am sorry for your loss but God needed a great pilot up in Heaven!

God has called home a beautiful soul - one that will be so sadly missed by his loving family and friends.  I am thankful I had the opportunity to get to know him and share a very small part of his legacy.  I know he is watching over you all.  Prayers being lifted!

When I was in high school 35 years ago, I worked with Jack at the Hub Shoe Store.  He taught me about giving back just by his actions.  I remember that every Saturday morning a gentleman would come into the store.  I could tell that this guy was a guy with some "special needs."  Jack would go over and talk with him for several minutes.  Just before the guy left, Jack would shake the man's hand.  And in Jack's hand was some cash that he would give this guy to help the guy out.  Even though Jack tried to be "stealthy" about it, probably more so not to damage the man's pride, we all knew.  Jack never spoke about his giving, but I saw it and I saw that Jack cared about people.  And more importantly, Jack taught me through his actions to give and to be humble.  

I wish I would have known Jack lived in the area.  I just moved to Cape Coral  few months ago.  I would have enjoyed visiting with him again.  My condolences to the family.
