James Robert "J.J." Jansen, 84 of North Fort Myers, FL passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 15, 2013. J.J. was born in Blue Island, IL. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Elks Lodge. At the age of 50 he obtained his private pilot's license and was a member of AOPA. J.J. retired from Florida Freezer Corporation as their Director of Operations.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary Jane; children, Jeffery James Jansen of N Ft. Myers, Patti (Peter) O'Brien of Cape Coral, Dennis (Tammy) Redman of Munster, IN; grandchildren, Kristen O'Brien, Nicholas Redman and Anthony Redman; sister, Shirley (George) Pazera of North Ft. Myers. J.J. will be remembered for his love of boating, fishing, music and his wonderful sense of humor.
