Jean Adams

Jean Adams (78) passed away peacefully at her residence Saturday morning, March 23,2024. Born on September 17, 1945, in Randolph, Vermont, to William and M. Rachel Gaidys. she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who always enjoyed spending time with her family and a good laugh. She graduated from Braintree Randolph Union High School in 1963. After high school she moved to Cambridge, MA to attend Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1966. Once she became a registered nurse she worked in Massachusetts and Vermont, before ultimately relocating to Port Charlotte, Florida in the early 70’s. While in Florida she married and started her family, giving birth to her daughter, Jennifer, then her son Danny. She raised her family in Port Charlotte and continued working as a nurse until she retired in 2011. After a few years of retirement, Jean relocated to Cape Coral, FL to be closer to her kids and grandkids.

Jean is survived by her son Dan Adams (Julie) of Cape Coral, daughter Jennifer Adams (Jason) of Ft. Myers, brothers William Gaidys (Loretta) of Barre, Vermont, and Michael Gaidys (Linda) of Randolph, Vermont, and four grandchildren, Zach Ward, Olivia, Austin, and Blake Adams.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents William and M. Rachel Gaidys, dear friend Merle Adams, sister Patricia Libano brother-in-law Alfonso Libano, and her beloved dogs, Ruby, Coco and Lilly.

A memorial service for Jean will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, followed by an inurnment at 12:30 PM.
