John was a graduate of Peqonnork Township High school in June 1966.
He served in the United States Army from 1968-1972. He obtained a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and then began his Law Enforcement career with the Osceola County Sheriffs Department. From 1979-1986 John served with the Lee County Sheriffs Department attaining the rank of sergeant. He went on to serve with the Florida State Fire Marshall’s office from 1986-2001 where he retired as a Captain.
John was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a hard core Harley enthusiast, as well as a scratch golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley & Nellie Glowacz as well as his sister Annette.
